Systematic literature reviews of scientific articles form the foundation for this series of reports (ISSN 1400-1403). Groups of experts in the subject areas develop the reports. These experts define the research issues, evaluate the quality of research, and discuss the overall findings. Research issues are addressed from perspectives of ethics and health economics, and the reports grade the evidence to indicate the strength of the body of scientific literature. The reports are assessed internally by SBU and by external experts in the subject areas.
