This website contains cookies. A cookie is a small informational text file that is stored on your computer. There are two kinds of cookies. The first kind saves a file permanently on your computer.

The second type is called a session cookie. While you are looking at a web page, the cookie is transmitted between your computer and the server in order to pass data back and forth, including the login name you are using. Session cookies are not stored permanently on your computer, but are deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

One reason that SBU uses cookies is to monitor and generate statistics about what pages our visitors are looking at.

You can change the settings in your web browser in order to disable cookies. But the website might not work properly if you do so. Various web browsers have different ways of disabling cookies. In Internet Explorer, for example, go to Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/Advanced. Check out the Help menu in your web browser for detailed instructions.
